Job Title: Industrial-Commercial Project Manager

A Project Manager's primary responsibilities are to oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle after a purchase order has been received, ensuring that the company delivers a high-quality product that meets the client's expectations, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement all project activities, including project design, detailing, engineering review, production, outside services, finish, and shipping according to the executed purchase order.
  • Oversee project scheduling, ensure timely project completion, and manage changes in project scope through collaboration with sales, production, and engineering.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure that all company drawings meet project-specific requirements.
  • Perform drafting duties, including creating detailed drawings, material take-offs, and bills of materials for inside sales staff and production.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal teams (sales, detailing, production, and logistics) to ensure clear communication and a coordinated project effort.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing technical support and troubleshooting throughout the project.
  • Utilize project management software such as tollgates, ERP systems, and AutoCAD to maintain project schedules, track progress, and communicate details effectively.
  • Review revised documents from customers for scope changes and generate appropriate change orders.
  • Collaborate with estimators and account managers to follow up on these changes until acknowledged.
  • Review and approve product design changes, recommending improvements that enhance cost-efficiency, delivery, and quality.
  • Participate in overall product strategy and coordination for new, existing, and emerging products.
  • Oversee packaging and shipping requirements, including truckload planning and crate design, ensuring safe and timely delivery to the job site.
  • Coordinate with customers on delivery logistics.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in drafting/design or a relevant course of study.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), AutoCAD, and experience with database applications such as MRP/ERP systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A positive attitude toward learning and adapting to new products and changes.

The role requires working in both office and manufacturing environments. The employee must be able to sit at a desk, take stairs, physically check on jobs in progress, and interact with customers and manufacturing associates. The employee must also review items prior to shipping.
