Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking skills to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes and promote a culture of safety and excellence.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in patient care.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree in nursing.
Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is a 280-bed acute care hospital that offers a range of services, including emergency care, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and acute rehab services. Our hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, and our stroke rehabilitation program has received the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Disease-Specific Care Certification of Stroke Rehabilitation.
