Key Responsibilities
  1. Diagnose and repair vehicle damage, using a range of techniques and tools.
  2. Review damage reports and prepare repair cost estimates.
  3. Plan and execute repairs, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  4. Fit and weld replacement parts into place, using a range of equipment and tools.
  5. Remove damaged sections of vehicles, using metal-cutting guns and other equipment.
  6. Install replacement parts, using wrenches and welding equipment.
  7. Align damaged components, using hydraulic pressure and alignment machines.
  8. Fill small or large dents, using plastic or solder.
  9. File, grind, sand, and smooth filled or repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
  10. Remove upholstery, accessories, and electrical equipment, to gain access to vehicle bodies and fenders.
  11. Position dolly blocks and beat opposite surfaces to remove dents, using hammers.
  12. Mix polyester resins and hardeners, to be used in restoring damaged areas.
  13. Adjust or align headlights, wheels, and brake systems.
  14. Remove small pits and dimples in body metal, using pick hammers and punches.
  15. Fits and secures windows, vinyl roofs, and metal trim to vehicle bodies, using caulking guns and adhesive brushes.
  16. Clean work areas, using air hoses, to remove damaged material and discarded fiberglass strips.
Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive body repair and restoration.

ICAR certification in all welding types.
