Position Overview:
The Virtual Business Banker II (VBB II) plays a crucial role in the daily operations and execution of inbound and outbound phone-based sales and retention efforts within a virtual environment. This position is focused on proactively managing and enhancing an existing portfolio of complex and high-net-worth small business owner relationships by retaining and cross-selling additional financial products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships, retention, and growth of the assigned portfolio while acquiring new clients through leads, referrals, and sales initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with a network of partners to provide optimal support to clients, including Treasury Management Officers and Sales Support teams.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask in a virtual setting while engaging clients and prospects proactively.
- Utilize customer relationship management software and other relevant applications efficiently.
- Maintain a consistent calling schedule to generate high-quality business opportunities in deposits, treasury, and lending.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of the complex business cash flow cycle, including treasury management and financial statements.
- Assess client needs and recommend suitable products or solutions through established sales processes.
- Build rapport with clients and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of products and services to address their business models effectively.
- Refer clients to appropriate channels for complex Treasury Management and Merchant Service needs and ensure follow-up.
- Handle problem resolution and direct servicing issues to the appropriate support teams.
- Ensure compliance with risk management protocols and regulatory requirements throughout the sales process.
- Participate in special projects or initiatives as assigned.
- Uphold Capital One's values in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
Basic:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Business Banking.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Banking.
- 1+ year of experience in phone-based sales.
- Formal credit training is advantageous.
