AGG Legal Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Legal Practice Assistant to join their team in Oakland, CA. As a key member of the Labor & Employment Investigations group, this individual will provide administrative and case assistant support to ensure the successful execution of investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the investigations case list to ensure timely completion of final investigation reports and adherence to budgets.
- Coordinate with the Group calendar to schedule and calendar investigative interviews.
- Attend weekly team meetings and provide word processing assistance, including proofreading and assembling investigative reports, contracts, legal memoranda, and correspondence.
- Manage travel arrangements for practice group leaders.
- Utilize strong knowledge of civil litigation defense related to labor and employment matters, as well as State and Federal court filing rules.
- Maintain sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Create, format, and edit legal pleadings in Word, using Macros, and Adobe.
