Job Summary

The Operations Manager 2nd/B Shift is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant, ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, and maintaining high-quality products. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work closely with production teams and human resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and maintain a safe workplace by implementing effective safety and ergonomic programs.
  • Lead the Safety Committee and work to reduce injuries and costs.
  • Oversee production employees and ensure all operating procedures are followed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve product quality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Manage labor, raw material utilization, yields, supplies, and waste reduction.
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop employees to maintain a high standard of employee relations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (agriculture, animal science, or business) and 10 years of plant experience.
  • Well-developed management skills and the ability to lead a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety files and operating instructions.
Working Conditions

The Operations Manager 2nd/B Shift will work in a normal production environment with varying temperatures and noise levels. The individual must be able to effectively work in this environment and meet the physical demands of the job.
