Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our 2nd shift team at Seaboard Triumph Foods. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and directing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate and maintain a safe workplace by implementing effective safety and ergonomic programs.
  • Lead the Safety Committee and develop strategies to reduce injuries and costs.
  • Ensure all operating procedures are followed and updated as needed.
  • Develop and manage a system to track labor, product, and packaging costs.
  • Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for plant labor, raw material utilization, yields, supplies, and waste reduction.
  • Interview, hire, train, and develop employees to maintain a high standard of employee relations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (agriculture, animal science, or business) plus ten years of plant experience.
  • Well-developed management skills utilizing sound management principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English.
  • Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
Working Conditions

The employee will be required to move about the facility, frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel/hold objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, speak, hear, taste, and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
