Position Overview:
Zurich NA is in search of a skilled Construction Casualty Underwriter to enhance our National Accounts team. This role can be based remotely or in select locations.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Senior Construction Casualty Underwriter or AVP, you will leverage your expertise in marketing and analysis to:
  • Evaluate and underwrite both new and renewal business while adhering to The Zurich Way of Underwriting Framework.
  • Ensure exceptional service delivery to clients through effective management of complex assignments.
  • Engage in market-facing activities, requiring a robust sales-oriented approach and in-depth knowledge of construction casualty policies.

Key Duties Include:
  • Administer underwriting rules, guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster relationships with business partners and clients to facilitate retention and growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive engagement with distributors.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to align accounts with organizational goals.
  • Participate in broker and customer meetings with a strategic focus.

Basic Qualifications:
For Senior Level III:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with a minimum of 5 years in Underwriting or Market Facing roles.
  • Alternative qualifications include extensive experience in Claims or Underwriting Support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and teamwork.

For AVP Level IV:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 7 years in Underwriting or Market Facing roles.
  • Extensive experience in Claims or Underwriting Support is also acceptable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • In-depth technical knowledge of commercial Construction Casualty Underwriting.
  • Established relationships within the industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment:
This position supports a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility in your work arrangement.
