About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Educational Program Leader to join our team at the Carlsbad Educational Foundation in the Carlsbad Unified School District.

Job Summary

The Educational Program Leader will be responsible for leading and implementing high-quality educational programs for elementary-aged students in our Before and After School Care program. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a passion for education, and the ability to create a safe and engaging environment for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and implement educational programs that align with the California State Standards and the Carlsbad Unified School District curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of services.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth for students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement STEAM-related lessons and activities that promote hands-on learning and creativity.
  • Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Child Development Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
  • A minimum of 6 months of work experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • A strong commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment for students.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
Salary and Benefits

This is a part-time position with an estimated salary range of $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include paid holidays and sick leave, discounted child care, tuition reimbursement, medical/dental benefits, and paid time off.
