Job Title: Ship Design Management Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Ship Design Management Analyst to join our team at Strategic Insight, Ltd. This is a unique opportunity to work on the Navy's DDG(X) Program, leveraging your expertise in ship design and acquisition to drive success.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day management of the technical and design process support for ship capabilities, requirements, design development, systems engineering, and systems integration. This includes preparing technical reports, memos, and issue papers, as well as conducting Navy program-related research and drafting, editing, and proof-reading documents and correspondence.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management of technical and design process support for ship capabilities, requirements, design development, systems engineering, and systems integration.
  • Prepare technical reports, memos, and issue papers.
  • Conduct Navy program-related research.
  • Draft, edit, and proof-read documents and correspondence.
  • Assist in correspondence management, task management, schedule planning & program integration, and design management consultation.
  • Monitor the status of technical and performance requirements for DDG(X) programs and support all pre and post requirements and actions.
  • Develop design schedules and program roadmaps and plans to meet DDG(X) Program goals and objectives.
  • Identify and monitor technical and program risk areas and develop risk management efforts to reduce the risks to acceptable levels.
  • Assess and provide information on new and existing policies and procedures, and assist in the development, review, and updating of standard operating procedure documentation.
  • Use digital strategies and technology to create or modify existing business processes, systems, and operation.
Requirements
  • 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience with DoD and/or Department of the Navy required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy in completing assignments.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with others at all levels.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Self-starter, goal-oriented individual who provides timely feedback on progress made on assignments.
  • Excellent organizational skills: ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks, handle complex assignments, and work in a fast-paced environment.
