We are in search of a Director of Operations to oversee all facets of our multi-site food-grade and temperature-controlled distribution centers.
The Director of Operations will be responsible for providing comprehensive leadership and guidance in the areas of food safety standards, operational excellence, performance metrics, financial management, client relations, and the continuous development of future leaders and team members.

Our extensive range of services includes warehousing, distribution, temperature-controlled logistics, contract packaging, transportation, and e-commerce fulfillment. Our dedicated team operates a vast network of distribution and contract packaging facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction to general management teams.
- Oversee multiple facilities ensuring compliance with safety and food-grade standards.
- Assess overall operations and establish both short-term and long-term objectives to meet organizational goals.
- Manage all aspects of warehousing, distribution, packaging, and transportation operations to fulfill company and client requirements while prioritizing employee safety.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and make informed decisions to enhance operational safety, value, service, and profitability.
- Implement and oversee safety programs to protect all personnel and assets.
- Ensure adherence to all company, client, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate effectively with sales teams, general managers, clients, and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience managing financial aspects such as budgeting and inventory control.
- Demonstrated success in leading multiple facilities at a director level.
- OSHA certification and expertise in regulatory compliance are required.
- Experience in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
- AIB certification is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Strong background in customer service.
- At least 10 years of operational leadership experience in a high-volume, fast-paced food-grade logistics environment.
- In-depth knowledge of large-scale temperature-controlled warehousing operations, including packaging and consumer packaged goods distribution.
- Experience with a leading provider of temperature-controlled logistics services.
- Exceptional organizational and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Flexibility to support operations around the clock as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- A diverse range of leadership skills, particularly in operational management, safety, supervision, motivation, communication, and planning.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to team members to foster growth and productivity.
- Experience with performance management systems and safety reporting is essential.
