POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Sales Supervisor plays a crucial role in achieving individual sales targets and enhancing productivity through tailored customer service while showcasing in-depth product knowledge that aligns with the Quay brand ethos. This part-time position offers flexible hours, accommodating up to 28 hours per week based on business requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership and Supervision - 50%

  • Maintain a strong presence on the sales floor, engaging with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service through effective supervision.
  • Coach and mentor sales associates to promote high performance and productivity levels.
  • Foster an inclusive team environment, adapting leadership styles to manage a diverse range of skills and responsibilities.

Sales and Customer Engagement - 50%

  • Achieve personal sales and productivity objectives.
  • Demonstrate the ability to style a varied clientele with eyewear and accessories.
  • Manage multiple in-store responsibilities while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  • Exhibit a professional and fashion-forward appearance while representing the brand.
  • Contribute to the store's brand image by upholding visual merchandising standards.
  • Stay informed on fashion trends, market developments, and product knowledge.
  • Provide feedback on merchandise and customer experiences to management.
  • Minimize loss by adhering to all loss prevention protocols.
  • Meet deadlines for shop tasks and projects.
  • Comply with all standards for store maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.

Budget Responsibility: No

Financial Accountability: Personal and store sales and KPI targets.

Key Relationships:

Collaborate with the Shop Manager, Assistant Shop Manager, Sales Leads, and Sales Associates.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in retail sales and leadership roles.
  • Ability to deliver a personalized customer experience.
  • Proficient in basic math and capable of using a calculator.
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred).
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and during store openings and closings as needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Capacity to adapt and multitask in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with effective listening abilities.

Travel Requirements: 0% travel.

Physical Demands:

  • This role is situated in a retail environment, requiring standing and walking for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Involves bending and kneeling to handle merchandise, as well as reaching and pulling to stock items.
  • May require climbing a ladder or step stool to access merchandise.
  • Regularly lift items weighing between 5 to 25 lbs; occasionally heavier items may be involved.
  • Must be able to perform essential functions without posing a direct threat to health and safety.
