Overview

The Spa Facilities Attendant is an enthusiastic and service-driven individual dedicated to maintaining a pristine environment for guests. This role is essential in guiding visitors through their wellness journey while ensuring that all service and facility standards are upheld. The ideal candidate should possess experience in public interactions, exuding friendliness and a willingness to assist.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Provide exceptional service during all guest interactions, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
  • Exhibit strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Show a genuine passion for service excellence.
  • Foster strong interpersonal relationships and teamwork.
  • Utilize effective problem-solving abilities.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Interact with guests to ensure a seamless experience while maintaining cleanliness in locker rooms, pools, spa lounges, fitness areas, and wellness facilities.
  • Offer guests orientation on facilities, conduct tours, and provide information on available services and retail options.
  • Collaborate professionally with colleagues and supervisors, assisting with the setup and breakdown of treatment areas as needed.
  • Handle guest inquiries and special requests with the utmost hospitality and professionalism, including resolving complaints.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Guide guests safely in the use of gym equipment, free weights, bicycles, steam rooms, and other amenities.
  • Provide information and assistance to guests regarding hotel services and operational hours.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and notify security of any incidents.
  • Distribute and replenish towels, robes, toiletries, and refreshments to enhance the guest experience in a luxury environment.
  • Follow procedures for inventory restocking as necessary.
  • Enforce fitness regulations with guests.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all wellness areas, including lockers, fitness zones, pool decks, and steam rooms.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with team members.
  • Undertake additional tasks or projects as assigned by management.
  • Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain regular attendance in line with company standards, adapting to the hotel's operational needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper attire and nametag.
  • Comply with company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
  • Strive for productivity, identify challenges, and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Effectively address problems, including anticipating and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate initiative by anticipating guest and operational needs.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a spa or health club setting is advantageous.
  • At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Flexibility and the ability to work long hours as needed.
  • Medium work - Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

Conduct

  • Maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene in accordance with company grooming standards.
  • Always exhibit courtesy towards guests and fellow staff members.
  • Be adaptable and accountable for all actions.

Training

  • Adhere to training protocols established by management.
  • Attend all necessary training sessions as determined by management.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily operations of the spa.
  • Provide assistance to guests and fellow staff members as needed.
  • Attend to guests in relaxation and waiting areas.
  • Support guest demonstrations and events.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
