Compensation: $18-22/hour (contract)
Position Summary:

The Production Operator will be responsible for executing assigned tasks while adhering to all company protocols and quality management system directives. This role involves interpreting and following assembly specifications and inspecting assembled components. The individual will collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to enhance products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and assemble components according to specifications.
  • Construct parts in alignment with company standards.
  • Utilize basic hand and machine tools effectively.
  • Read and adhere to procedures, routing, and other work instructions accurately.
  • Follow established guidelines to meet production targets, schedules, and quality benchmarks.
  • Safely operate machinery and production equipment in accordance with instructions.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, including equipment and materials.
  • Monitor and ensure the proper flow of parts through automated machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to reduce defects.
  • Ensure compliance with quality product standards, minimizing errors.
  • Keep precise daily production records for performance evaluation and meet deadlines.
  • Adhere to relevant quality system elements.
  • Inspect output quality and address defective products promptly.
  • Participate in audits to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Follow testing procedures as per company guidelines.
  • Assist with inventory management and material handling.
  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders.
  • Ensure proper material and product flow in manufacturing areas as per guidelines.
  • Report progress, updates, and quality concerns to supervisors.
  • Comply with company policies, including Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Human Resources.
  • Perform additional tasks as required across various functions/departments.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in assembly/production or related fields.
  • Ability to understand and follow written specifications.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry, document review, and communication.
  • Excellent hand dexterity and coordination, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Strong eyesight for detail-oriented tasks and safety awareness.
  • Experience with precision tools and equipment is essential.
  • Prior experience in a clean room environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials, up to 35 lbs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and personnel.
  • Willingness to learn additional skills as needed.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
