Job Title: Assistant Property Manager

West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, Inc. (WSFSSH) is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team. As a key member of our property management team, you will be responsible for assisting in the administration and property management of our building, ensuring the highest level of care and respect for our tenants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise front desk personnel and ensure 24-hour shifts are covered as per union contract.
  • Maintain all leave time requests, ensure all supplies are maintained, and personnel are cleaning and maintaining the front desk area.
  • Co-Supervise maintenance staff, administrative staff, and assist manager in maintaining active personnel files.
  • Process timesheets and submit them in a timely manner, assist manager with staff meetings, tenant/staff complaints, and performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for taking and maintaining minutes of all meetings, assist manager with Social Service staff interface, and coordinate with social service staff on various tenant issues.
  • Ensure the social services department receives copies of all incident reports, tenant lists, and management letters to individual residents.
  • Act as liaison between tenants and staff in building manager's absence, assist manager with Housing Court Hearings/Trials, and office/building management and administrative tasks.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills, math skills, and computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Emotionally, mentally, and physically able to perform job responsibilities.
  • Prefer a minimum of two years of experience working with senior adults.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish.
