The Global Insights & Analytics team at Mattel is on the lookout for a Manager of Shopper Analytics who will significantly contribute to our Insights department by providing valuable analyses that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
In this capacity, you will be instrumental in supporting Walmart, acting as a reliable insights authority, and extracting actionable insights from Walmart's proprietary platform, Luminate, along with other internal and syndicated data sources related to consumer and shopper behaviors, attitudes, and retail purchasing trends. Your findings will be communicated across all organizational levels to foster sales and category growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Become the expert on Walmart's Luminate data to identify, quantify, and convey opportunities for growth within the toy category.
- Establish strong relationships with diverse groups such as Walmart buyers, category management, and sales and marketing teams by serving as a trusted advisor and ensuring data accuracy.
- Utilize Walmart's Luminate data to:
- Drive growth by analyzing toy category, segment, and product performance, identifying trends, and measuring key performance indicators against benchmarks.
- Conduct market basket analyses to reveal associations and relationships between products, enabling category management to pinpoint cross-selling opportunities, optimize product assortments, and enhance toy category performance.
- Evaluate promotional effectiveness at the item level, assessing various promotional activities and recommending strategies to maximize sales and profitability within the toy category.
- Highlight differences and leverage similarities between online and in-store shopping behaviors to inform site merchandising strategies.
- Synthesize insights with additional data sources to formulate actionable recommendations for product placement and navigation to the Walmart buyer.
- Create and manage Tableau dashboards tailored to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
- Lead projects from initial discovery through to completion.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to establish operational guidelines.
- Design and implement processes and best practices.
- Ensure confidentiality in office interactions and data access within Mattel.
