Key Responsibilities:

  • Hire and train Line Cooks and Dishwashers, under the general direction of the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Place food and supply orders to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Complete and document safety audits and monthly in-service trainings to maintain a safe and healthy kitchen environment.
  • Ensure correct plate presentation prior to dishes leaving the kitchen, adhering to our high standards of culinary excellence.
  • Oversee kitchen labor and food cost, monitoring budget to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Prepare high-quality food that meets the expectations of our discerning residents and guests.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent position in a senior living or hospitality setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on presentation and quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
