We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at RSM US LLP. As a key member of our Credits, Incentives and Methods (CIM) group, you will be responsible for providing tax consulting and advisory services to clients on revenue recognition, expense, capitalization, cost recovery, and inventory accounting.
Key Responsibilities- Research and address technical issues specific to revenue and cost recognition, inventory, capitalization, and cost recovery
- Monitor guidance issued by the Internal Revenue Service/Department of the Treasury and new legislation relevant to tax accounting
- Lead the development of thought leadership and technical training
- Partner with other RSM professionals to introduce and discuss planning opportunities and strategies with external clients
- Integrate with specific tax and industry leaders to identify emerging or relevant technical issues
- Provide quality review of Form 3115 – Application for Change in Accounting Method
- J.D./Tax LL.M. or CPA
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Proven ability to develop and implement policies and procedures
- Ability to resolve issues quickly; well organized with strong management skills
- 5+ years of experience in tax accounting methods & periods

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $97,200 - $183,700
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
