Job OverviewPosition Summary:

The Member Services Associate (Teller) is responsible for engaging with members to facilitate their financial transactions, delivering precise information, and effectively communicating the advantages and features of products and services to enhance cross-selling opportunities. This role encompasses a variety of tasks that support Branch Operations while complying with the Credit Union's established policies, guidelines, and procedures. This is a flexible position that will provide support to various branches as needed.

Weekly Work Schedule:

40 hours per week; Monday – Saturday (with rotating Saturday shifts).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold and promote a positive representation of Bay Federal at all times to members, staff, volunteers, vendors, and the community.
  • Accurately process and verify financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and general ledger entries while managing a cash drawer.
  • Ensure precise cash counts in line with Bay Federal's cash balancing standards.
  • Provide Credit Union products/services such as money orders, cashier checks, cash advances, and wire transfers.
  • Update and maintain accurate member account information, including preparing necessary forms for updates in the Core system.
  • Effectively communicate the features and benefits of Bay Federal's products/services to facilitate cross-selling to members.
  • Keep the Branch Management team informed of all operational, member service, and product-related issues in a timely manner, and suggest improvements where applicable.
  • Identify, investigate, and address member concerns promptly by collaborating with relevant departments.
  • Participate in team meetings for training, discussion, and process enhancement.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of six months of experience in cash handling and customer service is required.
  • Sales experience and/or training is preferred.
  • Proficient in using a PC for work tasks, with experience in Microsoft Office software, Internet, and Intranet preferred.
