About the Role

This position plays a critical role in the daily processing of payments and month-end closing process for the Holland America Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating banking templates, inputting electronic payments, and coordinating vessel funding and deposits logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and execute daily multi-million treasury transactions, including wire and ACH payments, FX trades, check runs, and cash requirements forecasting and funding.
  • Prepare bi-weekly and ad hoc vessel funding to each of the ships based on requests from Casino and Shipboard Finance.
  • Coordinate transportation and delivery of funds to ships.
  • Transmit vendor pipeline payments to the banking institutions and research rejections to amend/void vendor payments.
  • Analyze requests for direct payments, check for accuracy and conformity to established fees.
  • Monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and posting of recurring and adjusting journal entries.
  • Daily interaction with different levels of the organization to execute payments.
  • Assist with special projects as needed, including new funding requirements, treasury workstation, and opening of new bank accounts.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance, with banking, treasury, or cruise line experience being a plus.
  • Previous treasury experience preferred, with strong analytical skills and a creative thinker and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills working with many different departments and varying levels of management.
  • Strong balance sheet reconciliation and basic understanding of Inter-company accounts and journal entry preparation is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle Financial Systems.
  • Basic skills in MS Office Products (Word, Excel).
Work Environment

This position is classified as an in-office role, requiring employees to work from a designated Holland America Group office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday. Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week, and the final schedule is determined by the leader.
