Job Title: Assistant Professor of Music

About the Position:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced music professor to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor of Music. This is a tenure-track position that requires a doctoral degree in any music field. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting two Georgia Tech choral ensembles, providing excellent choral instruction, and teaching a wide variety of musical styles and traditions while emphasizing vocal health.

The School of Music at Georgia Institute of Technology is a vibrant community of musicians, composers, and scholars dedicated to advancing the art of music through innovative research, performances, and educational programs. Our students cultivate their musicianship while learning engineering, computing, psychology, and design skills, which enables them to envision new ways of creating, performing, and analyzing music.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
  • Conducting two Georgia Tech choral ensembles
  • Providing excellent choral instruction of a wide variety of musical styles and traditions while emphasizing vocal health

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have at least three years of experience leading vocal ensembles, knowledge and ability to teach a wide variety of vocal genres and styles, and the ability to engage students in experiential learning activities and pedagogy that support student success.

Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $80,000-$120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The position also comes with a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
