Job Summary

Metals USA is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities at our manufacturing plants in Metro-Philadelphia, PA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose and repair facility equipment, including overhead cranes, production machinery, and material handling systems.
  • Problem Resolution: Review work requests and arrange schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Safety Compliance: Comply with Metals USA and OSHA safety policies and practices, including lockout/tagout, safety data sheets, and hazardous material usage.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform building and equipment maintenance, repair, and improvements, including preventive maintenance on CNC machinery, electrical and hydraulic systems, and overhead cranes.
  • Project Management: Schedule outside contractors to perform major repairs and monitor their work.
  • Record Keeping: Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
Requirements
  • Education: High School/Technical School Graduate
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years as an industrial maintenance supervisor in a manufacturing environment
  • Certifications: Valid OSHA Forklift, Overhead Crane, and Aerial Work Platform Certificates
  • Skills: Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and perform repairs; ability to read English to read maintenance work orders, schematic drawings/blueprints, and maintenance/safety manuals; knowledge of electricity (110, 230, and 460 voltage); experience operating an overhead crane, forklift, hand tools, and common shop machinery; demonstrated ability to perform electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs
