Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce laws and ordinances to protect life and property
  • Investigate crimes and accidents, and make arrests as necessary
  • Provide credible testimony in court and conduct traffic surveys to identify problem areas
  • Assist in school and community functions, and participate in public relations activities
Requirements
  • Possession of law enforcement certification from POST in any state
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain/maintain a City of Hoover Driver's Permit
  • Ability to pass a thorough background check
  • Preferred qualification: fluency in Spanish
