Job Summary:

The Peer Specialist will conduct community outreach and provide community education to reduce stigma around substance use disorder. They will engage clients to receive behavioral health services, provide NARCAN education kits, and liaise with the community to make appropriate referrals for care.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct community outreach and provide community education to reduce stigma around substance use disorder
  • Engage clients to receive behavioral health services

  • Assist program staff in identifying and engaging individuals in need of services
  • Assist in driving Outreach minivan
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED and/or 2 years of work or volunteer experience in a recovery-oriented setting
  • CRPA, CRPA P
  • Lived experience with and knowledge of the challenges pertaining to substance use and/or mental health conditions
  • Clean driving record
Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment as well as outside in the field. The role requires routine use of standard office equipment and the ability to travel among assigned sites and locations as needed.
