Senior DevOps Engineer for System Administration and Deployment

At CCRi, we are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in taking our systems to the next level. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for managing the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of our production systems in a high uptime environment.

Job Overview

We maintain and deploy production systems for users across the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and commercial industry. Our systems apply state-of-the-art algorithms and machine learning techniques to extract features and fuse data from multiple phenomenologies to form a rich live view of objects in the sky, on the sea, and on the ground.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain development, testing, and production environments under general direction.
  • Build and deploy automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions.
  • Manage continuous integration and delivery pipeline to maximize efficiency.
  • Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management.
  • Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.
  • Evaluate existing systems with industry standards and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Build and maintain tools, solutions, and microservices associated with deployment and operations platform, ensuring that all meet customer service standards and reduce errors.
  • Test system integrity, implemented designs, application developments, and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed.
  • Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes.
  • Work with open-source technologies as needed.
  • Work with CI/CD tools and source control such as GIT and SVN.
  • Offer technical support where needed, developing software for back-end systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • U.S. citizenship and active Top Secret security clearance, SCI eligible, and willing to take a CI polygraph.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and five years of related experience.
  • Experience with deployment technologies, such as Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration.
  • Experience with metrics monitoring and dashboards (Grafana).
  • Understanding of user access practices and security controls within a system.
  • Understanding of system administration in various OS environments.
  • Strong knowledge of configuration management tools.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Salary

The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000-$190,000 per year.
