As an Electrical Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Division Manager or an appointed representative, overseeing the management of assigned projects and work orders. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all tasks are executed in compliance with Watson Electrical's established policies and procedures.

You will be tasked with achieving the objectives and goals of your division while adhering to company guidelines.

Your work will encompass the installation, modification, enhancement, and maintenance of electrical systems, conductors, and related materials and equipment across the commercial, industrial, and residential electrical construction sectors.


Key Responsibilities:

You must operate within defined limits or standards of precision, performing a variety of tasks that may frequently change.

Utilize reasoning and logic to perform rapid and accurate arithmetic operations, discern details in objects or drawings, recognize subtle differences in shapes or shades, and visualize flat drawings as three-dimensional objects.

You will be accountable for job layout, leading and collaborating with a team, ensuring that materials, tools, equipment, and information are present at the job site in the correct locations and in a timely manner.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Review and verify all documentation related to assigned projects and work orders, including Time Sheets, Production Reports, Foreman's Weekly Report, Receiving Reports, Field Purchase Orders, and two-week forecasts.

Participate in weekly meetings led by the Division Manager or their delegate to review information and discuss upcoming workloads.

Monitor and control the reports specified in the GPOP, Instructions for Computer Reports.
Ensure compliance with the Company's established policies and procedures, including:
The Division Office Operations Procedures (GPOP).
The Company's Substance Abuse Program.
Vehicle usage.
Quality Assurance Program.
Safety and Hot Work Program.
Assignment of foremen to projects.
Preparation and bidding of assigned jobs and work orders.
Oversee estimating processes, ensuring that:
Estimates are logged appropriately.
All paperwork and procedures are adhered to.
Estimates and design/build projects are reviewed and approved within authorized limits.
Recommend changes regarding materials, labor, and EPAS.
Be accountable to management for project-related general, technical, and engineering issues.

Production Oversight:
Monitor, control, and verify the productivity of assigned projects/work orders.
Ensure that tasks are performed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Conduct periodic checks to confirm that workers adhere to scheduled start and end times.
Be responsible for monitoring and controlling:
Wage rates, labor, training, and supervision of assigned projects/work orders.
The number of vehicles dispatched to a work site.
Storage facilities at job sites.
Accountable to management for:

Safety Management:
Securing materials, tools, and equipment.
Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of Monthly Job Productivity Reports.

Position Requirements:

Licenses:

A valid driver's license as required by job conditions; applicable federal, state, and local licenses as mandated by job conditions or company policy.


Certifications:
Relevant federal, state, and local certifications as required by job conditions or company policy.

Education:
High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent training from Watson.

Experience:

Necessary experience and/or training to ensure all aspects of the position are performed efficiently and in accordance with company policies and procedures.


Working Conditions:
This role requires working in various environmental conditions, depending on job location and season, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Employees must be able to utilize portable sanitary facilities on construction sites.
Job responsibilities require personal tools to be carried at all times (a waist tool belt weighing approximately 30 lbs.).
Work may involve the use of ladders (step ladders up to 14', A-frame ladders, and various extension ladders) and the ability to carry and relocate a 12' step ladder independently.
Employees must perform tasks at heights of up to 90' using ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or other safe work areas.
Work may occur in confined spaces (switch gear rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics).
Personal protective equipment must be worn as required by the Safety Handbook.
Able to work 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed, including night shifts and potential out-of-town assignments.

Read and interpret blueprints, maps, instructional manuals, and specifications.
Safely operate mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas-powered).
Work with energized circuits and equipment as outlined in the Safety Policy.
Supervise site employees to ensure project completion.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to hear and see well (with or without correction).
Must be capable of bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
Lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Maintain mobility on foot throughout the workday.
Complete overhead work for extended periods.

Must be able to transition from employee parking areas or streets into construction work zones and access all building levels, even if the only means of access is by O.S.H.A.-approved construction ladders or stairs under construction but acceptable for use.
Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers is required.
