Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite a portfolio of casualty insurance business to meet risk and return objectives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy.
  • Manage relationships with Managing General Agents (MGAs) to achieve profitability targets and performance metrics, driving business growth and expansion.
  • Evaluate individual submissions, including product, business plan, historical performance, operations, deal structure, and management team, to make informed underwriting decisions.
  • Collaborate with US and London brokers to generate new business opportunities and renew or expand existing accounts, fostering strong relationships and driving revenue growth.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments, providing insights on the casualty insurance market, and contributing to the company's thought leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting, preferably in casualty lines within program, reinsurance, or direct environments, with a strong understanding of portfolio management.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and expansion, with a focus on risk management and underwriting excellence.
