Key Responsibilities
  • Operate drill rigs, forklifts, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and other heavy equipment to support construction projects.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of drill areas, including checking pile elevations, measuring offsets, and rigging and setting casings and rebar cages.
  • Prepare daily drilling log reports and perform daily pre-shift inspections.
  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety procedures, laws, policies, and rules.
  • Communicate effectively with equipment managers and field managers to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment, including drill rigs, forklifts, and loaders.
  • 1 year of experience on heavy construction projects preferred.
  • Forklift and excavation equipment training preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive on behalf of the company.
  • TWIC card holder preferred.
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER training, Competent Person Safety Training, 8-Hour Supervisory Training, 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training, and First Aid and CPR training preferred.
Working Conditions

The Drill Rig Operator will work in a variety of environments, including job sites, warehouses, and offices. The position requires the ability to work in inclement weather conditions, wear personal protective equipment, and maintain physical stamina to perform manual tasks for extended periods.
