Job Summary

Nuvance Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. As a key member of our Pulmonary Medicine department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and operating advanced life support equipment to diagnose and treat respiratory disease and illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and evaluate routine and advanced life support equipment for patients of various ages
  • Work under the supervision of the Director of Cardio-Respiratory Care Services and/or the Respiratory Care Manager, Supervisor, and/or Clinical Coordinator
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to patients of different age groups
Requirements
  • High School Diploma and graduation from an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Care
  • Registry eligible or Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • New York State license or permit and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
