Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Lab Manager to oversee the daily operations of our test lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that customer test schedules are met, staff have clear understanding of daily work, and any scheduling conflicts are resolved promptly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly oversee scheduling of test lab staff, equipment, and other resources to ensure customer test schedules are met.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date schedule of all test lab equipment and resources.
  • Oversee test lab staff, including hiring, training, and mentoring new employees.
  • Ensure staff workload is appropriate and sustainable, and responsible for overall staff well-being.
  • Directly oversee the accuracy, completeness, and on-time-delivery of all test lab reports and/or test data.
  • Coordinate preparation of quotes and cost estimates with customers and test lab staff.
  • Ensure that preventative maintenance and calibration is completed on all test lab equipment.
  • Develop and maintain the annual budget for test lab operations.
  • Implement and maintain a 5S methodology in the test lab.
  • Maintain, in conjunction with test lab chief engineer(s), established Standard Operating Procedures associated with laboratory testing processes.
  • Maintain and manage laboratory and equipment qualifications, certifications, and accreditations.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree.
  • 3+ years of experience as a test lab manager overseeing schedule, budget, personnel, and equipment.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools such as MS Outlook and Teams.
  • ERP experience (especially EPICOR) is desirable.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Physical Requirements

This position requires the use of stairs, and occasionally lifting objects up to 50 lbs.
