We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler I+ to join our team at Karman Space & Defense. As an Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician I+, you will be responsible for assembling and testing various mechanical systems using standard electronic test equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Assembly and Testing: Assemble and test various mechanical systems using standard electronic test equipment, ensuring high-quality results and meeting production deadlines.
- Wire Harness Fabrication: Fabricate wire harnesses using wire splicing, crimping, Molex connector installation, and soldering on a multitude of different connectors and cable types.
- Potting and Encapsulation: Pot and encapsulate connectors and electronics, ensuring proper sealing and protection.
- Engineering Drawings and Documentation: Read, understand, and follow engineering assembly drawings, bill of materials, manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot assembly issues under limited supervision, using problem-solving skills and technical knowledge to resolve issues efficiently.
- Safety and Security: Observe and report potentially unsafe conditions, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1-2 years of related experience in a technical and/or assembly environment, with experience using basic hand and power tools.
- Skills: Familiarity with operating standard electronic test equipment, oscilloscopes, meters, frequency generators, etc. a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Moderate physical and repetitious work, standing for extended periods, use of stairs, and occasional heavy lifting.
