This position is non-tenure track and is designed for an experienced professional specializing in well completions, stimulation, or related disciplines.
Institutional Context:
MPGE is recognized as a leading institution in the field of petroleum and geological engineering. Our faculty engages in a wide array of interdisciplinary research, covering topics such as reservoir management, geothermal energy, and enhanced oil recovery. The school is equipped with advanced teaching and research facilities, including the Integrated Core Characterization Center, which is renowned for its contributions to petrophysics and rock physics.
Academic Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
1. Developing and delivering undergraduate and graduate courses in well completions and related areas.
2. Supervising student research projects and initiatives.
3. Providing industry insights to enhance the educational experience.
4. Leading efforts for ABET accreditation and continuous improvement in our programs.
5. Collaborating with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Petroleum or Geological Engineering or a closely related field, along with a minimum of ten years of industry experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to teach and mentor students, along with excellent communication skills.
