Job Summary

The Clinical Risk Manager is responsible for managing the organization's risk management and patient safety programs. This includes developing and implementing systems to detect, monitor, and prevent patient adverse events, malpractice claims, and other indicators of potential patient harm.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare compliance and risk management principles, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills. They will be responsible for supporting the organization's Comprehensive Compliance Program, including the development and implementation of the Compliance and Regulatory Plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing risk management and patient safety programs
  • Conducting internal monitoring and investigations
  • Providing guidance and support to clinical staff
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless implementation of policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in healthcare compliance program development
  • Strong understanding of California patient and individual privacy laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and develop relevant plans and recommendations
