Job Summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality and compliance department, you will be responsible for reviewing and tracking incident reports, analyzing event severity, and identifying potential system/process deficits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and track incident reports to ensure follow-ups are complete
  • Analyze incident reports to evaluate event severity and identify potential system/process deficits
  • Perform investigations under the direction of the Vice President of Quality & Risk Management
  • Prepare reports of sentinel events resulting in liability exposure
  • Act as a resource person for all employees concerning risk management issues
  • Perform information management functions of data abstraction

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in a healthcare-related field
  • Registered Nurse, other clinical professional, or minimum of four years' experience in a healthcare-related field, performing data analysis
  • Previous experience in Risk Management
  • Ability to present, explain data and trends to various levels of key stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management experience
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Knowledge of CMS, Title 22, Joint Commission, Federal and State healthcare compliance program requirements, and Cal OSHA law and regulations

Working Conditions

This is an exempt position, requiring 40 hours of work per week.
