Job Summary:

PeaceHealth is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intermediate Care 4 South department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs

Provide direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards

Promote a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach towards patients, families, and all members of the care delivery team

Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence

Participate in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures, and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection prevention program

Requirements:

Accredited School of Nursing Required: Nursing

Bachelor's Degree Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing

One year Required: of recent (within the last 36 months) Registered nurse in progressive care/step down (intermediate level) experience required or currently oriented and can provide care independently within the department, required

Demonstrated competence in area of expertise

Registered Nurse and Basic Life Support Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support

ACLS according to Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements policy

Working Conditions:

Lifting: Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH)

Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment and perform precise procedures

Ability to move around area with frequent sitting

Bending/ stooping/ squatting/ reaching/ kneeling frequently

Environmental Conditions: Exposure to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles

Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment
