RN Intermediate Care 4 South

PeaceHealth is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intermediate Care 4 South department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide direct patient care in compliance with professional practice and unit standards.
- Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Direct and delegate care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of established hospital policies, procedures, and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection prevention programs.
- Accredited School of Nursing Required: Nursing and Bachelor's Degree Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Preferred: Specialty certification.
- One year Required: of recent (within the last 36 months) Registered nurse in progressive care/step down (intermediate level) experience required or currently oriented and can provide care independently within the department, required.
- Preferred: 2 years of recent (within the last 36 months) current level of intermediate care experience as an RN.
- Required: Demonstrated competence in area of expertise.
- Required: Registered Nurse and Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support and Required: ACLS according to Resuscitation Training Completion Requirements policy.
The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH). The candidate will also be able to perform hands-on CPR at least 20 minutes using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) and be able to move around the area with frequent sitting.
