Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled RN Critical Care Float to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs in a critical care setting.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Document patient care in the electronic health record, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Oregon or Washington.
  • Minimum of two years of experience as an ED, ICU, or ICU Stepdown RN.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • ACLS certification within six months of hire.
  • ENPC and TNCC certification within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in more than one critical care area, such as ED, ICU, CVU, and PACU.
  • Specialty certification in critical care nursing.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles. The ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and to perform hands-on CPR is also required.
