Job Overview

Position Summary:

The role involves executing a variety of tasks to support the daily functions of the packaging production line, fostering a culture of safety that benefits both the organization and its workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all tasks and responsibilities in a safe and organized manner.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy working environment by adhering to established procedures, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Maintain the operational pace of the packaging line being utilized.
  • Handle, store, and organize materials and products manually or with equipment.
  • Adjust and oversee machinery, reporting any irregularities to the supervisor.
  • Recognize packaging and product quality needs and communicate these with the supervisor.
  • Support team objectives by undertaking additional tasks as required.
  • Provide training to hourly staff on various equipment such as palletizers, box machines, and forklifts as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Basic proficiency in English.
  • Fundamental math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Effective oral communication skills; bilingual candidates are preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.

Physical Demands:

  • Capable of lifting over 75 pounds consistently.
  • Able to withstand extreme temperatures (both hot and cold).
  • Comfortable with heights.
  • Required to stand or walk for the entirety of the workday.
  • Occasional twisting, bending, and stooping (approximately 5% of the workday).

Training Duration:

  • 1 to 3 months, meeting all specified requirements.
