Job Title: Public Health Nurse Program Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Nurse Program Manager to join our team at Marion County, OR. As a key member of our Public Health Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the Clinical Prevention Program, which includes vital services such as immunizations, sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, and the Tuberculosis Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Tuberculosis Program in partnership with experts from the Oregon Health Authority and long-term program staff.
  • Provide leadership to the immunization and sexually transmitted infection teams.
  • Participate in team meetings and guide department initiatives such as quality improvement and performance management.
  • Represent the program, division, department, and county on various committees.
  • Play an active role in Incident Command during health department emergencies.
  • Build and strengthen internal partnerships with teams such as Environmental Health, Early Service and Outreach, HIV, Communicable Disease, and the Health Officer.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a specific professional health field related to the position.
  • Three years of Registered Nursing (RN) experience, including one year of leadwork experience.
  • Possession of Oregon Nursing License or obtain the license within 60 days of hire.
  • Healthcare Professional CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Must possess a current driver's license in the applicant's state of residence and an acceptable driving history.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a specific professional health field related to the position.
  • Experience working in a public health setting.
  • Knowledge of public health principles and practices.
