Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Nurse Program Manager to join our team at Marion County, OR. As a key member of our Public Health Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the Clinical Prevention Program, which includes vital services such as immunizations, sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, and the Tuberculosis Program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, public health, and leadership, with experience in managing teams and programs. You will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work in-office, with no remote work options available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Clinical Prevention Program, including immunizations, sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, and the Tuberculosis Program
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the program
  • Manage budgets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Supervise a team of nurses and public health workers
  • Collaborate with local communities to create a safe and inclusive environment for everyone

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a specific professional health field related to the position
  • Three years of Registered Nursing (RN) experience, including one year of leadwork experience
  • Possession of Oregon Nursing License or obtain the license within 60 days of hire
  • Healthcare Professional CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of hire

  • Lifts and carries up to 20 lbs.
  • Pushes and pulls up to 20 lbs.

  • Temporary employees and part-time regular employees working less than 50% of the regularly scheduled work week are not eligible for benefits
