Data Engineer, Logistics Specialist

As a key member of Amazon's global BI and Data Engineering team, you will play a vital role in solving complex problems in worldwide transportation using cutting-edge workflows, optimization algorithms, and machine learning systems. These large-scale distributed systems handle millions of packages being shipped through the Amazon logistics network.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in analyzing and interpreting data from Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, and other databases. A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field, such as computer science, engineering, or statistics, is also required.

This position requires strong knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing, as well as experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Proficiency in one or more query languages (e.g., SQL, PL/SQL, DDL, MDX, HiveQL, SparkSQL, Scala) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, KornShell) is also essential.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
