MRI Imaging Specialist Position at Duke University Hospital

Overview:

  • Conduct thorough screenings for patient safety regarding MRI procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists to develop and execute imaging protocols
  • Assess the quality of MRI scans to ensure diagnostic accuracy
  • Manage patient scheduling and perform administrative duties
  • Administer contrast agents and initiate intravenous lines

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited MRI technology program
  • ARRT or ARMRIT certification must be obtained within 18 months
  • At least 2 years of experience in MRI technology
  • Certification in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, or a related field

Skills and Competencies:

  • Expertise in operating high field strength MRI machines
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • BLS certification is mandatory
