Position Summary
The Cardiac MRI Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized tasks related to the operation of high-field strength magnets.

Key Responsibilities
1. Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedures.
2. Assist radiologists with protocol development and procedure execution.
3. Start IVs and administer contrast media as per established protocols.
4. Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and ensure proper labeling of images.
5. Schedule patient appointments and assist with administrative tasks.
6. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
7. Provide training and orientation for new technologists and students.
8. Address the psychological and physical needs of patients undergoing MRI procedures.
9. Utilize the Image Archival System effectively.

Qualifications
Education: Completion of a program that meets the eligibility requirements for certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Experience: Entry-level candidates must obtain ARRT certification within 18 months. Candidates with two or more years of experience as an MRI technologist are preferred.
Certifications: Required certification in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine Technology, or Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated proficiency in operating MRI equipment and performing complex imaging tasks. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.
