Job Summary

VetJobs is seeking a highly skilled Benefits Administrator to lead our health and welfare benefits, wellness programs, worker's compensation, and leave administration. This role requires exceptional organization and project management skills, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.

About the Job

This position will oversee Workday benefits functionality, including system configuration, employee enrollments/changes, premium calculations, and vendor integrations. The successful candidate will plan and coordinate annual benefits open enrollment, wellness programs, and administer all leave programs in accordance with internal policies and applicable state and federal laws.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the organization's health and welfare benefits, wellness programs, worker's compensation, and leave administration
  • Assist with the evaluation of benefit plan design and selection of benefit carriers
  • Oversee Workday benefits functionality, including system configuration, employee enrollments/changes, premium calculations, and vendor integrations
  • Plan and coordinate annual benefits open enrollment and wellness programs
  • Administer all leave programs (Short Term Disability, FMLA, Parental, Military, etc.) in accordance with internal policies and applicable state and federal laws
  • Collaborate with internal communications team to draft key employee communication aimed at promoting awareness and understanding of benefits and wellness programs
  • Manage relationships with all benefits, worker's compensation, and leave third-party service providers
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field and minimum of five (5) years of benefits and leave administration experience or equivalent education and years of experience
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
Estimated Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on location and experience.
