Job Summary:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join its team in Crystal Springs, MS. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the overall reliability of the facility's systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes to prevent future problems.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment history.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or technical degree preferred.
  • Three years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance in an industrial setting.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment, including cranes and forklifts.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles, including 4Q, JIDOKA, 6S, and other related methodologies.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and simple schematics.
  • Welding experience and ability to operate industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
