Job Summary:

The LPN position is responsible for coordinating clinical activities for a group of assigned patients. This includes utilizing the nursing process to provide care that meets the specific needs of each patient. The LPN will work within the framework of the State LPN Practice Act and adhere to hospital and nursing standards in performing job duties and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate clinical activities for assigned patients
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide care that meets patient needs
  • Work within the framework of the State LPN Practice Act
  • Adhere to hospital and nursing standards
Requirements:
  • Current Louisiana LPN licensure
  • IV Therapy certification
  • Current BLS certification
  • NRP and PALS certification within 6 months of hire
  • CPI certification within 6 months of hire
Physical Demands:

The LPN must possess good physical health and be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required, and the ability to work in a moderate level of noise is necessary.
