UPMC Hamot, a Magnet designated facility in Erie, PA, is seeking a skilled Lead Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team.

As a Lead Surgical Technologist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our 17-suite operating room, working closely with our surgical team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate surgical technologist assignments to ensure safe and effective procedures
  • Assist with complex surgeries across multiple specialties
  • Arrange sterile setups, pass instruments, and prepare supplies
  • Help clean and restock the operating room, manage special trays, and patient data
  • Ensure proper use and availability of equipment and supplies for quality patient care

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of Operating Room experience
  • Completion of a formal surgical technician program
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TSC) required
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal within 90 days of hire or transfer
