Job Description

Ryder System is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Henderson, NC.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $61,300 based on a 40-hour workweek and the hourly rate of $29.50 mentioned in the job description. The company offers various benefits, including:

  • A certification bonus of up to $700 for each new ASE certification obtained.
  • A quarterly bonus of up to $500 every quarter.
  • A sign-on bonus of $2000 at 30 days and $2000 at 90 days.
Job Responsibilities

This role involves performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including:

  • Performing standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computers when applicable.
  • Completing complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you should have:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in heavy-duty diesel engine repair and diagnostics.
  • A valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A, preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.
