Job Summary

As a Patient Transporter at Ascension, you will transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed to designated sites as requested. You will also assist patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfers from or to wheelchairs or stretchers. Additionally, you will deliver equipment and specimens to requesting staff or department.

As a Patient Transporter, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients throughout the facility. You will work closely with healthcare staff to coordinate patient transport and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Transporting patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed to designated sites as requested
  • Assisting patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfers from or to wheelchairs or stretchers
  • Delivering equipment and specimens to requesting staff or department

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You must also be able to lift and move patients safely, and have a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
