Position Summary

The Digital Print Machine Operator employs essential mathematical, computer, and mechanical skills to configure and produce tailored labels that fulfill client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect the necessary tools, materials, and supplies based on the job ticket, using proper lifting techniques and appropriate resources.
  • Correctly set up the printing press to execute the job while following all safety protocols.
  • Perform quality assessments on personal work and secure approval from a supervisor to ensure the job meets specifications.
  • Identify and report defective materials or product conditions to the Production Supervisor.
  • Coordinate any additional data files, graphics, and conditional elements with relevant parties.
  • Efficiently operate Sohn AR-7, Zebra, and similar cutting machinery.
  • Thoroughly clean and adjust equipment to uphold high-quality standards; promptly report any printhead issues and replace them as necessary.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, ensuring equipment is kept in optimal condition.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient in measurements; capable of using and interpreting rulers, including understanding fractions of inches and performing basic unit conversions.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email usage.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Manual dexterity; skilled in using hands and tools for precise tasks.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Physical stamina; able to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Team-oriented; collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals.

Education and Experience Requirements

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year of related experience. Electronic Imaging Materials also considers equivalent combinations of education and experience.
